02 Passat Will Lock Doors But Not Unlocking

Locks work from the switch but not the remote.

02 passat will lock doors but not unlocking.

Tested door 4 times locking and opening from inside and out. Door will not open. The remote keys won t unlock the doors but will open the boot. My 2004 vw passat has an issue where the nearside rear door will not always open when the corresponding button is pressed on the car key.

C locking was working but ds rear door not locking are unlocking then drivers door and ps rear doors jamed not to read more. Not really logical but thought worth the try. 97 4 door passat centrail locking not working red light not flashing on drivers door. When the other doors are unlocked the faulty door makes an unusual noise as if something is trying to move but can t.

Ordered an aftermarket lock assembly and replaced unit. Not starting then bashing the lock unlock buttons a few times. I would have to use the remote or driver s door buttons to unlock the rear door. The door lock works in only one direction.

Ok everyone sort of a new issue. This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator. If this happens the problem is with the remote. Passat remote key not unlocking car.

I left the inner door panel off so wife could drive it for a few days. L r door lock acting up on my 05 passat. Until 2 days later. 2 days later installed panel.
